A Pennsylvania Truck driver had a 35 year good driving record.  However, he was cited for Reckless Driving for an incident where his tractor trailer collided with a passenger car.  He had no idea that by just paying the citation he would lose his driving privileges for 6 months and lose his job as a truck driver as a result.
When he contacted Joyce & Bittner we quickly moved to appeal both the Reckless Driving conviction and the suspension of his driver’s license.  He kept his driver’s license while we worked on the appeals.  We argued that the collision was the fault of the car driver trying to get by the truck as our client was making a safe and orderly change of lanes.  We were able to agree on a reduced minor traffic offense with the prosecutor. A ticket the driver received for a turning violation in the incident was also withdrawn. As a result, the truck driver’s license and job were preserved.
